Korero about the painted fridge featured on the wall and article in Stratford Press

The idea behind this painting acknowledges the people of Aotearoa and its land. The connection between the whenua and its protectors. The whakaaro demonstrates Moari Mythology about the creation of our earth Papatuanuku and her beloved Ranginui after they had been seperated allowing their children to grow and develope themselves. This whakaaro is a metaphor for mother earth and the skies allowing humanity the right to grow, develope and use our natural resources as a way of living and feeding back to the land ect. However, you can see in the polluted waters and ochre-burnt orange skies havent been treated right, humans have abused their land and have become ignorant to what allows us to live the lives weve all chosen. Now we have everything that we've ever needed and wanted, we are now ruining our land and soon we will have nothing. We need to live in humility to be grateful and satisfied with everything we have been given.
